Logistics Warehouse
Storage bays, dock levellers, office mezzanine and truck yard
The challenge
Racking of 9 m demanded a very flat floor, and the truck yard had to take loaded trailer movement on soil that drained poorly.
Our solution
A laser-screeded floor was specified to the racking supplier's flatness class and poured in large bays to reduce joints. The yard got a stabilised sub-base with a designed drainage fall and heavy-duty paving at the dock face.
Execution sequence
Yard and drainage first so trucks could access the site during the build, then PEB frame, then floor, then dock equipment and mezzanine.
Result
Floor flatness passed on first survey, allowing racking installation to start immediately after curing, which pulled the operational start forward by roughly three weeks.
“Racking went up the week the floor cured. No grinding, no delay.”
